Expansion of solar power plant “UC B”

Additional capacity of 138 kWp was recently added to the existing solar power plant “UC B”.  Namely, 34 monocrystalline panels with a power of 375 Wp, manufactured by Canadian Solar and 306 monocrystalline panels with a power of 410 Wp, manufactured by Luxor Solar are added to existing network.

Today,  the total capacity of the solar power plants “UC A” + “UC B” is 638.99 kWp, which enables the company to produce more than 30% of the consumed electricity from its own sources.

In the future, UNIOR Components plans to further expand the production of electricity from renewable sources.

New equipment launched in renovated facility for cutting and sandblasting

UNIOR Components is well known as a company that reinvests a significant part of its income in the modernization of its production facility.

Among other things, the complete facility for gas cutting and sandblasting of welded constructions was renovated this year. A new Omnicut 4600 G gas and plasma cutting machine (Maximum size of cutting pieces 2000 x 6000) was purchased, as well as a new SciTeX Cabilux Series sandblasting equipment, which ensures a significantly better quality of sandblasting process of the welded structures.

Also, the renovation process included a complete reconstruction of the interior, so that now the new gas cutting machine and the new sandblaster are located in the same building and which provides significantly leaner production process of welded constructions. In addition to the interior, the entire roof was also renovated, on which solar panels will be installed in the coming period as part of the “UC B” solar power plant.

Overall, this investment is expected to result in faster production processes and increased customer satisfaction of the welded construction and machining program.

AZ RU 2000 – New grinding machine in broaching tools production program

In order to meet specific customer needs, but also to maintain a leading position in the market, UNIOR Components invests a significant portion of yearly revenue in the modernization and increase of production capacity.

In accordance with the plans, a new machine was recently put into operation in the production program of the broaching tools – AZ RU 2000 universal grinder from the Italian manufacturer AZ Machine Tools, which will find its application primarily in grinding round broaching tools. As a result, UNIOR Components increased its total capacity of grinding operations and significantly improved the quality of the machining process for this type of the tools.

New machine DOOSAN DNM 500/50 II arrived at UNIOR Components

Second solar plant “UC B” is commissioned

After the successful commissioning of the first solar power plant “UC A”, the second solar power plant “UC B” was put into operation this week.

The roofs of UNIOR Components are covered with the cutting-edge solar panels and have already started producing electricity. Solar power plant “UC A” has a capacity of 300 kW (AC), while “UC B” has added another 145 kW (AC), which is a total capacity of 445 kW (AC).

Consequently, UNIOR Components now produces around 632,000 kW / h of electricity, which is up to 20% of total annual consumption.

UNIOR Components will continue to take care of the environment by promoting usage of renewable energy sources and supporting global goals of sustainable development.

UNIOR Components maintained its business activities

Radio Television Kragujevac crew visited our company, as one of the best regional leaders. On this occasion, RTK prepared an article and short video which you can find below.

“The corona virus pandemic affects the functioning of economic entities, and companies, among other things, face a shortage of staff, due to the absence of employees due to infection with Covid 19. The company “UNIOR Components”, which produces tools for the automotive, aerospace and other industries, managed to maintain business activities. The biggest problem at the moment are the unstable price of energy, as well as the procurement of materials necessary for the production process.

The corona virus did not stop the production process in the halls of UNIOR Components. All jobs have been preserved, and 102 workers, out of a total of 160 employees, have been vaccinated. Currently the biggest problems are related to lack of materials and rising energy prices. Despite that, this business year will end with results that exceed expectations in “UNIOR Components”.

The continuation of the export trend represents a good path to survival and positive business outlook. In order to improve working conditions, but also to save electricity, the employees of this company recently installed solar panels that are used to produce electricity. Panels installed on about 2,000 square meters can produce about 500,000 kilowatt hours of electricity annually.

Special tools produced in Kragujevac are exported to 25 countries, and the largest markets are in Germany, Hungary and France.”

UNIOR Components launched a solar plant “UC A” in Kragujevac

As a company whose vision significantly encompasses the aspect of sustainable business and environmental protection, UNIOR Components invests in renewable energy sources.

Namely, one of the largest solar power plants in Šumadija district was put into operation at roofs of UNIOR Components facility. It is a 300 kW power plant that covers an area of 1900m2.

UNIOR Components is expected to produce up to 20% of the electricity it consumes annually, which will have a significant impact on the preservation of the environment.

Director of UNIOR Components wins The Best Regional Leader Award in 2020

The Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Šumadija and Pomoravlje administrative districts awarded companies and business leaders who stood out with their work, engagement and results in 2020.

The winner of the award for regional business leader in 2020 is our director Ljubinko Mijailović, who has achieved exceptional business results.

The year behind us was extremely difficult, because a state of emergency was in force in Serbia due to the corona virus.

Despite that fact, the company UNIOR Components worked at full speed in extremely difficult circumstances when the borders were closed and when the procurement of raw materials, as well as the placement of goods and exports was prevented.

This company employs more than 160 workers, and UNIOR Components exports from about 30 countries around the world.

The award means a lot, says Ljubinko Mijalilović, the director of this company, who adds that a difficult fight for the market, buyers and placement of goods is ahead.

According to the results of business and applied technologies, our company is one of the best in Serbia in terms of management and presence on the reference market, but also in terms of the status of employees, according to the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Šumadija and Pomoravlje administrative districts.

Undoubtedly, the most important merit goes to the director of the company, Ljubinko Mijailović, pointed out Predrag Lučić, director of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Šumadija and Pomoravlje administrative districts, who presented the award of the regional business leader for 2020.

In the first 11 months, the economy of the Šumadija administrative district realized a foreign trade surplus in the amount of 362 million euros, while the economy of the city of Kragujevac in the same period realized a foreign trade surplus of 127 million euros.

UNIOR Components also has a very important place in achieving these results.
